The fondant snowman is all edible except for the toothpick as his nose.

As usual, I couldn’t resist using disco dust. These are supposed to be jube-jubes.

Begin with ice cream cones of any size. Various sizes look nice as well. You can gently break your cones or stack them to make the ‘trees’ larger or smaller.

This tree has a little bit of icing sugar dusted over it as well.

Happy gingerbreading if you decide to make one this year!

Snowman Freebie...

It looks like an invasion of snowmen...LOL...This little snowman is another oldie but goodie...I gave the graphic away as a freebie last year and have had several requests for it this year sooooo here he is...
"Snowman Candy Wrapper"

This graphic may be sized to fit almost anything, from rolls of Lifesavers or Rolos to coffee cans and microwave popcorn. It works especially well when wrapped around your favorite size of Hershey bar.

The hats can be made out of felt, fleece, Christmas socks or the cutest thing I've seen is knit gloves...The scarfs can be made from scraps of fabric, felt, fleece or ribbon as well. It's also fun to add buttons, little snowflakes and other doodads to make them really fancy...

Several Hugsisters from the PcCrafter message board were kind enough to send me pictures of their snowman creations and I do appreciate their help...sorry to say that I could'nt use all the pictures but here's a sampling of what you can do with this simple piece of art...

I think these are wrapped around microwave popcorn...

Lifesaver snowmen are the cutest! It looks like she used the finger of some knitted gloves for the hat...and added some tiny snowflakes and yarn for the scarf...cute,cute,cute!

This is your basic Hershey bar with a felt hat...I sold a bunch of snowmen just like this last year at my craft shows...they where my best sellers!

So there you have it...my gift to you...again...now go forth and craft my friends... This lil' snowman was created to give others joy... and I hope that he will continue to make people smile for years to come...Hope you have a wonderful, joyful, Christmas season.

101 Stocking Stuffer Ideas

A stocking hanging on the fireplace mantle is a long standing Christmas tradition steeped in history. As one legend goes, a poor man had three beautiful daughters. He had no money for their dowry and he was worried what would happen to them after his death. Saint Nicholas was passing through and heard the villagers talking about the girls. He wanted to help, but knew that the old man wouldn’t accept charity so he decided to help in secret. He waited until it was night and crept through the chimney with three bags of gold coins, one for each girl. As he was looking for a place to leave them he noticed the girls stockings hung over the mantelpiece to dry. He put one bag of gold in each stocking and off he went. When the girls and their father woke up the next morning, they found the bags of gold coins and were overjoyed. The girls were able to get married and live happily ever after and to this day we continue the practice of stuffing stockings full of gifts.

Some of my fondest memories centered around pulling endless stream of tiny presents from the recesses of the homemade stockings my Mom made for us. And I’m happy to now be the Mother who gets to stuff my own children’s stockings on Christmas eve.
